   our hope for the future!
This book captured the essence of my soul truly! I truly wish I could meet this remarkable man and would have loved this man, Tommy! In reading this book, I cried a lot, and I read it a lot. During these trying times, I have read many books filled with conspiracy theories! Jamie Raskin fills me with hope. I am 77yrs old and have 4 grandchildren, whom I pray will live in a democracy and not an autocratic country. I would love to meet this man just before I leave this earth!

I loved that he showed his vulnerability and transparency about the death of his political contributions to his dear Tommy and Tommy's contributions to his political career. I am really impressed with what I saw on TV about Jamie Raskin. He is a very intelligent, well spoken, moral person. His book is the same. So sorry for his loss. During this crazy time in the U.S., he shows dignity and should be a goal for all of us.

Besides being well written, it invades the mind and soul of your body. It is a history story. It is about love of country and love for family and passion to always do what is right. It is painful and uplifting, scary but hopeful and a true story written with a wounded heart trying to heal.

Jamie Raising does an outstanding job of relating the events leading up and second Impeachment of former President Trump. It is incredible that the situation remains so dire in the United States a year after the Trump insurrection of January 6, 2021. The parts of the book are he describes the depth of his grief over the death of his son, which is extremely sad to read without crying.

   Thought provoking, heart wrenching, insightful
I regularly read books about politics, but this is one I can 't put down. It provides an insider's view of the insurrection and the second impeachment of our wretched corrupt former president interspersed with reflections on surviving the death of a beloved son. I have been an admirer of Congressman Raskin since I watched the Senate trial of he who will not be named. I was impressed by his erudition, command of the facts, and his ability to develop a narrative that no person could reject with critical thinking skills. I particularly enjoyed reading Congressman Raskin's commentary on our endangered democracy. He is a gift to our country, what a gift he is to our country. So much more dignified, intelligent and respectful than that band of Republican corrupt carnival barkers he has to serve beside in Congress. His character places him above the likes of Jordan, Gaetz, Boebert, Cawthorne and Margery Taylor Greene and the other inhabitants of the clown car, above the likes of Jordan, Gaetz, Boebert, Cawthorne and Margery Taylor Greene.
