Book Overview

Enter the complete saga of the international #1 bestselling Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead--soon to be a major motion picture

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with an unbreakable bond to the earth's magic. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making her one of them. Rose and Lissa must navigate through this dangerous world, confront the temptation of forbidden romance, and never once let their guard down, lest the Strigoi make Lissa one of them forever.

Its a steal for 6 books.
The book is in great condition, the buyer said. The price was great for a set of 6, he said. Some are saying it's to buy individually but if you do cheaper math and factor in shipping your not saving much if not at all.

Looks great on the shelf! The first book's cover is a bit of an eyesore.
Two days later, I got it in record time. I've read the entire series multiples times and hope to one day get these signed by the author. I don't like the movie addin to the first book's cover, so I ordered a different VA Book 1 that matches the rest of the covers. I'm delighted the series looks great on my fiction books about vampires. D. Pitkeford, a lawyer for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, said the team will review its performance this season.

   An enjoyable series
I enjoyed the series and all of the characters, Morgenthau said. He has a writing style that makes you relate to them and want to go on their adventures with them as well as a share a laugh. I would recommend them both.

   Amazing Series!
This was a huge splurge for me to buy the entire set of books, and I'm very happy that I did. I thought I was over-reading vampire books, but then I was wrong. This goes to show how a good author can make any genre feel fresh and exciting, he said.

Great series, gets better every time I read it
This series is a great, complex story that is well written, too, Robert Ingrassia said. It's addictive, and I couldn't put it down. This was the fourth time I've read the series, and I still enjoy it. The characters are well created to where they seem real. You can't predict what happens next, so you have to be patient. The series follows a group of friends at a school where vampires and werewolves mingle with the normal high school students. There are also some very complicated and romantic mysteries that tie all the love stories together. The books get better because you've read them and know the characters better. 0 2622010 2622070 The author says the books are so complex they get better after you've read them and know the characters better. The movie goes right along with the first book, which is rare. I'll probably keep reading it over and over. It's great to see such a great writer and artist come to life, said Pauley, who has written extensively about the Beatles.

High hopes at the beginning but let down at the end
I understand that this series is for younger kids, but I found the first book enjoyable and was hoping the series grew with the reader, like the Potter series did. The whole thing is a travesty, even if the finale was terrible. Each book got more rushed and the plot thickened, making it difficult to read. Only in the finale did I realize that I was only doing the series because I was hoping for a satisfying ending for Rose. What I was left with was bafflement as to how anyone, including the author, could follow the story and find it believable, McBride said. Only in the past few weeks have family members been willing to talk about the tragedy. In her testimony, Rose's mom said her daughter had a 180 personality change. All the characters have the ability to plan and execute perfect prison breaks, perfect getaways and use magic without anyone being caught.

Images are confusing; which set do I get?
The advertisements are a little confusing. I ordered this and wasn't sure what box I was to get. While the first image in the advertisement is of the set I actually received, the others reflect on having the first book as well as the box look like the movie. I'm happy my box included one of each book, but I'm slightly disappointed I didn't get the movie version of the box set. Only a few of the readers have started reading the second book. I hope the images are fixed so that people can enjoy them.

   Favorite book series
I have read all the books, but this is by far the best. She accidentally lost the original cassette player and had no idea what was wrong with it until a friend gave it back. The boys came in really well, said Blair. Cant wait to re-read.

   Not my thing
The first few episodes were slow and I found myself thinking of everything but the story.

A complex world of vampire mythology
One of my all time favorite shows. It's just that terrible." Highly recommend. Rich Meadelle, the author of the book, is also an amazing novelist. She is a master of plot and with every book took me deeper into her amazing world. In "The Concubine," Blair reveals a world of both mortal and immortal vampires, and their human and half-human allies. It's hard to say whether this series will live up to the "Twilight" mantle. I've read a lot of books on this subject. None of them satisfied my ideas of what a hero should be. I wanted to play multiples characters, so I had to be able to change the dynamic of the story. We're delighted with the results, said Meade. Only because of the condition I received the books in did I rate it four stars. The boys arrived in a plastic wrap which was supposed to protect them from damage but they were shocked when they opened the box. The client had minor flaws, but I was very disappointed with this. Overall, I am very happy to finally own the entire series so I can re-read my heart's content.
