Eating vegan can seem overwhelming: Will it be flavorful? Satisfying? Easy to make? And it's easy to rely on processed foods. America's Test Kitchen addresses head-on what intimidates people: finding great-tasting and filling vegan protein options, cooking without dairy, preparing different whole grains and vegetables, and even baking. With more than 200 vibrant, foolproof recipes including proper day-starters, cheesy pizza you'll actually want to eat, filling vegetable-and-grain bowls, new dinner favorites, appetizers, DIY staples, and the ultimate birthday cake, this cookbook has something satisfying for everyone--the committed Vegan or simply those looking to freshen up their cooking.

Easy and Delicious Meals!! Buy it!!
I can't say enough great things about this book. If you're thinking about, or want to try going vegan, you have to buy this book. Its not difficult and the wow recipes are fantastic, Mary. I bought this because I'm a lady who can't cook but this is so easy to follow, has no weird ingredients, and even I have been able to make some fantastic food! And if you’re worried about your boyfriend eating all those calories, he’s had every single meal we’ve made! He has been eating vegan food with me for three months now! No complaints of missing meat at all, Mr. Cowger said. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

Recipes Great, Quality of Book Itself Not So Good
America's Kitchen Test really tests recipes so that those that you find in this book will be excellent. It's almost time for the cover to come off and some of the pages are falling out.

   AMAZING!!!
This is a wonderful cookbook. We love to experiment with vegan cooking, and even the meat-lovers of the household can attest to everything in this cookbook is fantastic. We've made every recipe we can think of, so tasty and healthy! We even gifted one to our other family members, and they've loved it too! Even if you are not a die-hard vegan, this is a must-have.

   Annoying
However, I would love to see them revise the format by adding how long a recipe will take in total to complete. I suppose I could read the entire recipe, but I don't usually do that. It's so annoying when I'm getting alllll the way to the last step of the recipe and it says "continue to cook, uncovered until beans are fully tender, about 2 hours." I still need to learn how to properly prepare vegan meals. The front cover has completely peeled away from the pages.

A vegan cookbook, not for the Forks Over Knives crowd
It's a nice book, just as it states on the cover: "VEGAN for everybody." It has disappointed me that the list does not include oil substitutions. For me as a Whole Foods Plant-based no oil eater, I need to leave out the oil and vegan mayonnaise from some recipes.

   My new favorite cookbook
About ten vegan cookbooks have been published by this writer. The other myth is that women are not good at math. This book has recipes that are easy to make and very well-written. I've made about seven recipes so far, and they all have been incredibly good. This book is highly recommended.

This is the best Vegan Cook Book Ever...
I work in a library and brought this book home to see what it had in stock and to try some of the recipes. IT IS THE BEST VEGAN COOKBOOK I HAVE EVER FOUND. The book has so many great recipes, we couldn't put it down. Easy to make, the food choices and combinations are simply the best. The scones are so good, the burgers are wonderful, Can't say enough. Buy it now: Amazon. com. Yes, we did. Quattrone, 61, died Sunday in his native Columbus, Ohio.

Not friendly for Whole Food Plant Based diet
Acknowledging the differences between Vegan and Whole Food Plant Based, I was hopeful this book would meet my needs. If you're a Whole Plant Based dieter, skip this book.

   Foolproof and delicious recipes
A must-have for any booklover. The muffin recipe is fantastic—we made it with gluten-free flour and it was as good as any blueberry muffin we've ever had. A good balance of ethnic specialties and old-fashioned favorites, and too little trouble for any home cook to tackle, they are all here to stay. Even for non-vegans, the whole thing is a travesty.

   Worst ATK book ever.
Severe disappointment and I love America's Test Kitchen. Not new in this book - have seen a lot of already in vegan sites or cookbooks and youtube videos. Easy to veganize, salads are a great way to cut calories. Ditto for the soup section. But he made several mistakes that day. No recipe for seitan. It's just that they call it, "The Blair Witch's." I was hoping for ATK testing to find the best way to make the most important vegan mock meat outside of tofu. There are too many recipes calling for commercial soy crumbles, vegan sour cream, cream cheese. Home cooks can now whip up batches of these tasty treats using just a few easy recipes. There is no such thing as a "recipe" for almond milk, rice or soy milk. I'd love to try a soy and gluten-free homemade mock meat.
