Your Christ is a God of peace--not war! Erik the Red said. He has no place in Greenland.
Mr. Whittaker, a kind but mysterious inventor, has sent cousins Patrick and Beth to Greenland through the Imagination Station. And what does it have to do with the mysterious letter found in the inventor's workshop? Most important, can Patrick and Beth find a Sunstone before Erik's son Leif sails away with the Imagination Station on board his ship?

This series is perhaps one of the best series that my boys ever had. My 10 year old started these when they came out first and is currently WAITING for #16 to come out. My 3rd grader enjoyed reading this book just and finished it from beginning to end. We read it together and he would always say to you after every chapter end... oooooh another cliff hanger! I can 't wait to read the next chapter to you! I love that it incorporates history right into the story, which gives me opportunities to discuss different topics with my boys!

This was our first adventure in the Odyssey Imagination Station Book and we loved it absolutely! In this book, we were introduced to Beth and Patrick, who travel back in time via the Imagination Station to the time of the Vikings. This book is really written for young readers and I look forward to Elijah possibly reading this book by himself next year. I have read this book aloud.

Fun historical fiction for younger children
Derived From Web , May 9, 2022
My children are just beginning their reading journey. Here is a book that combines both! The people were actually quite interesting throughout history. This story tells the story of Erik the Red and Lief Erikson, the tenth century Viking explorers and settlers of Greenland. I appreciate the historical accuracy of this book, mixed with the fictional plot of two young adventurers of modern day. I am grateful for this fun educational resource, which I can read aloud to my kids or they can read by themselves.

Viking Fun!
Derived From Web , May 9, 2022
Both my children, 10 and 8, read the book with me and we all really enjoyed it. It had a magic treehouse feel to it with time traveling through history and just the right amount of action and learning for the little ones to enjoy. This is the first book in a new series and there are already more adventures for Beth and Patrick to take, including trips to a Roman Arena, a Chinese Palace and visiting the Knights of England. There is also an online site to continue the adventures on The Imagination Station. Here kids can see a click book, learn more about Vikings and watch family activities. This book is a beginner - chapter book and recommended for ages 7 and up. I have no other connection and have received no compensation from Tyndale.

Great, but could be better
Derived From Web , May 9, 2022
The story about Beth and Patrick going on an adventure in the Imagination Station to find a Viking Sunstone is awesome, but the writing could be better. I was expecting a lot more humor and character '', considering that the author also directs Adventures in Oddessey. If you're 8-10, I think you will really enjoy this book.
