   This Kindle edition is awful
The version of the classic that is available on the e- tailer is horrible. It seems that the text has been translated by a machine. The very first line of the book has majority, when the proper word is bulk, but sorry, it's not Thoreau, and there are many more egregious miswordings in the few subsequent pages. Don't buy the Kindle version, it's a piece of junk.

   Cursed
The book was a favorite but came cursed. If it was the mailman or the factory worker, my entire order had visible hexes on them. My prime was canceled.

   Only two stars
This is a great example of a classic. I'm rating the format. The print is very small and the book is large. That means that you have to read the whole page in small type, which is very difficult to read. No stars for that. The book is a classic but not what I expected. The author was very involved with his neighbors and the town, but he was not living in the woods. He could hear the noises of the town in the woods. It's a great insight into what it is like to live off the land. Also many interesting items about diet, making me rethink what I' ve been eating all these years as well as commentary on such seemingly mundane items as the thickness of ice on ponds in the winter! Who knew that?

   Mixed review
It has not aged as well as it could. It sounded like a grand adventure to live in a self built shed a mile from where his mom did his laundry. His descriptions of nature can be poetic, but his protestations against modernity of his time are hollow. It's true that work can be a burden and our culture's materialistic nature surpasses common sense. He conveniently ignores the work done by others on his behalf, and overstates his perception that government is useless. Conservative voices refuse to acknowledge that society has moved on without them because of the same simplistic thinking. This edition also contained Civil Disobedience.

Enjoyable book but came with printing issues.
I enjoyed listening to the perspective of the man who lived at Walden pond. He was losing me with the description of the winter time and the freezing over of the pond. I was getting the feeling that he was giving himself too much praise and even poking fun at himself, but he managed to alleviate that with some conflicting perspective and even poking fun at himself. I found Walden to be worth the read. The middle of the book was where my copy had 16 pages of Huckleberry Finn. I had to read those 16 pages online because the Walden pages were replaced. Oddly enough, some of the missing pages included haikus. I had a good laugh out of this.

Beautiful View Of Life With Remarkable Sentences
It takes me a long time to read a paragraph. It is a wonderful read having been read decades ago. The print is small to my older eyes, on fine paper and cover. All at a good price.

Great Microscope & Great Customer Service
I use Microsope to look at circuits for bad solders. I have an older mac and the camera doesn't seem to work with any of the stock software. Within hours, the seller responded to my email with the viewing software. Since I have a slot type CD drive, I couldn't use the product on a mini CD. Everything worked correctly once I installed the software. The stand can feel a bit flimsy, but it does its job and you can't expect anything too heavy duty for this price. Overall value is really good
