TO THE NO. 1 BESTSELER CARY ON

Simon Snow is back and he's coming to America

The story is supposed to be over.

Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after.

So why can't Simon Snow get off the couch?

What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. He just needs to see himself in a new light.

That's how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost. They get so lost, they start to wonder whether they ever knew where they were headed in the first place.

With Wayward Son, Rainbow Rowell has delivered an audiobook for everyone who ever wondered what happened to the Chosen One after he saved the day. And an Read More chevron_right

   It was ok
I did not find it as charming and fun as the first book, though I still recommend it if you read the first book.

   Both a hit and miss
This book suffers from the middle book syndrome without spoilers. The plot does not resolve in a way that is satisfying. The new plot, however, is hyped for it and makes you new for the next book.

   Imaginative, excellent read. 💞
I couldn 't put this book down and now I'm obsessed. .

   Very fun!
More of the same great fun from Carry On, but with a personal development in the characters. A very funny read. The new characters loved the new design. Can 't wait to read the next part.

   Over too quickly
I wonder if there is a third coming... Its a bit cruel to leave us dangling on a darn cliff like that.

Amazing sequel to an amazing book
The first was so good and the second was not disappointed! I love this series and I am excited for it to continue! My heart is in Baz and my heart is Simon.

   Breaking My Heart
It will break my heart to give this only 3 stars. My favorite author is Rainbow Rowell. My favorite books are Carry On. I ordered this as soon as I could and couldn t wait for it to arrive. It literally did nothing for me. 3 stars might even be a star too many : I love the story but didn 't love it. There wasn't enough character exploration and interaction. I thought that the setting would be fun in America. No, really. At the cover, BLUE are Simon's wings! The 2nd sentence of the first chapter clearly states that they are RED! There are a number of other references to them as being RED throughout the book. I kept thinking that there was a plot point coming where the RED wings would become BLUE. So what was the point of BLUE wings on the cover other than distraction?! '' This book ends with a Cliffhanger that sets us for another book with these characters. I am not sure how I truly feel about it now.

Simon Snow and the Sequel We Didn’t Need
This book was one that I had been excited for since it was announced. I wanted to love this book ''. I tried really hard to love this book ''. But, unfortunately, there was really not much in this book that was worth loving. The biggest issues were the characters. They were inconsistent and weirdly unlikable, which is a shame because the characters were my favorite part about Carry On. The rest of the book was also strange. The pacing was off, the structure was weird and overall it felt more like a meandering fanfic with no real plot structure than an actual sequel to Carry On. I was so disappointed that I could barely pay attention to the last few chapters. I stopped caring about the characters. None of them felt interesting and the plot itself wasn 't familiar enough to warrant much interest. I wanted a sequel, but now I wish I wouldn t have gotten on.
