Pure read out loud magic

My favorite book as a child was There is a Monster at the End of this Book. Grover has created characters and stories a bit remioniscant of your luvable fury old pal Mo Willems. I think that Grover has created characters and stories a bit remioniscant of your old pal, Grover. My 4 year old ADORES Elepnaht and Piggie even more than I do, he loves to read the story himself and his enthusiasm is so amazing! He even talks about Elephant and Piggy when we are not reading them. A perfect package! A perfect package! ''

My son thought this was hysterical
Derived From Web , Oct 8, 2021
My son is five and thought this book was very funny, but after the initial interest in it, he does not ask for this one at bedtime anymore and I think its for the simple fact that its really for the toddler-preschool set. I wish I had found this series earlier and highly recommend it to anyone with toddlers or preschoolers! I wish I had found this series earlier!

This book is so funny & cute.

I love this book and I read it to children. It reminds me of the book Sesame Street with Grover. I loved this book as a child and was fascinated by the idea that the character reacts to things I do. Elephant and Piggie are great characters and I recommend all books by Mo Willems. This is especially fun.

Picky kid approved!

At a time when my first teacher was very resistant to reading up loud, I handed over this book to him and left the room. Just moments later I read him giggling and saw the book out loud to himself! He liked this book so much that he read it out loud to several family members! It is still in regular rotation and he asked me to read it to his class during a parent day. We have a collection of Mo Willems books, but this one is extra special for us!

Got damaged

My daughter adores all the series of Piggie and Elephant. We order them each week. This week's order was We are in a book, we are in a book. The book itself is interesting and she enjoys reading it, but we got it damaged! I attached the picture, seems to be damaged during packaging or perhaps used during packaging.

Cute book! 6-year-old appreciated it!
Derived From Web , Jan 19, 2019
My six-year-old grandson really enjoyed reading this book. I didn 't realize that he was already a fan of the author and these characters. He found it especially wise when the characters realized that being in a book meant they could make the reader say what they wanted. He also enjoyed acting the HEE HEEs and HA HAs and loved the expressions of the characters. The author drew his attention to the fact that books may contain parts such as word bubbles, page numbers, etc. Grandma's is really cute and a good purchase, I think he'll enjoy every time he's at Grandma's.

Awesome!

We adore the elephant and piggie around here. The book exceeded my expectations. It is funny for children because of the hysteria that ensues after the characters realize that they control us and what we say. Their interaction with readers is very charming and playful. On a deeper note, it flirts with a theme of mortality and existence. There is a dark urgency toward the end of the book as they realize that the story is almost completed and anxiety about what will happen next. Additionally, while they realize that they can impose us by making us say funny words, the readers realize that they can also control them if they decide to read the book again. Deep stuff for the philosophy nerds, but a fun read for the kiddies. Can 't lose with this book!

Elephant and Piggie books are our favorites! They help young readers develop.
Derived From Web , Aug 19, 2018
My child, Piggie and Gerald, helped me so much in reading. We were battling in PreK and Kindergarten and a friend let us borrow some of these books from Mo Willems. In no time she was improving, laughing and feeling much more confident. We have ordered several more. By first grade she was in the top of her class for reading, her scores and confidence increased dramatically and she came in 3rd place for her grade in their annual reading competition. I know that much of it was simply natural development, but I also credit these books because they keep pages long, introduce big words slowly and are repetitive in a fun way. They also touch on emotions in an intelligent way that creates critical thinking about the situations that these children encounter. I say these books now as gifts and can not say enough good things!
