The illustrations are so beautiful. My kids really enjoy looking at the pictures, and so do I! The story itself is... wordy. It is just a bit jumbled and long for no reason. The lesson itself is great, it is just lost in a lot of unnecessary words. I dread reading it, truthfully. I really think that it could have been a beautiful book if it had been written more or edited in a beautiful, rhyming prose.

Great book! Love the artwork and attention to detail! Love the attention to detail! It's a bit long for super little ones, they might not have the attention span to sit through the whole story, but it is a great way to introduce gardening to children. Educational and sweet! Sweet! The Gaines did it again! The Gaines did it again! I can see that this is used in a homeschool lesson if I am studying plants.

We are the gardeners is a delightful book. We enjoyed that it was a lengthier picture book rather than a few words a page. My 5 year old daughter had a predicament she came up against and she said : I don 't give up! She kept it up and she did. As a mother, I really appreciate a book that promotes loving and creative family time, hard word, critical thinking, not giving up, etc. Thank you for sharing this part of your story so that we can see God's light shine through it.
