Lyrical and spellbinding --Marieke Njikamp, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author

Set in a richly detailed world inspired by ancient Arabia, Hafsah Faizal's We Hunt the Flame--first in the Sands of Arawiya duology--is a gripping debut of discovery, conquering fear, and taking identity into your own hands.

People lived because she killed. People died because he lived.

Zafira is the Hunter, disguising herself as a man when she braves the cursed forest of the Arz to feed her people. Nasir is the Prince of Death, assassinating those foolish enough to defy his autocratic father, the sultan. If Zafira was exposed as a girl, all of her achievements would be rejected; if Nasir displayed his compassion, his father would punish him in the most brutal of ways.    It’s actually good
I didn't read this book with any expectations and in the end was really happy with how it turned out, he said. If you like the wrath and the dawn you will love us to hunt the flame.

   Incredible
One of the best novels I've read this year. Incredible world building, heart-capturing images of magic realism. I have told everybody about it! she said.

   It was good
It took me a long time to get into it, but once it got going it moved fast. I don't think YA fantasy is for me, so I'll take a break for now and maybe go back to the second book later.

   GREAT READ
I've read all the books, but this was by far the best. It is full of magic, romance and the need for honor, Diana said. I've loved how the characters developed throughout the book and could not put this book down! It took me two days to finish, but I'm very happy with the outcome.

   Amazing!
It's great to see another book out there. It's a little slow to start, but stick with it because it gets so good! I can't say enough about the cast and the characters, Ryan said. The story is fast-paced and the execution is fast-paced, too. Amazon's Kindle Fire is the fastest-selling e-book in history, with over 3 million copies sold. Just about everything about the sequel is new, too.

   Lame and annoying
It's nasty, cowardly and idiotic, surrounded by similarly stupid friends. One is left with the unenviable task of trying to put 2 and 2 together, doubting magic where the magic used to be every day. However, the lameness of the girl and quest plot can't be mitigated by overuse of Arabic words which some people confuse with originality and power of writing. The penmanship is as flighty as the plot and characters, and if the main characters are any good, it's pretty exceptional. Not finished the book.. [could care less about] the guest and silly folks involved.

   Creative world
I enjoyed the deep emotions of the characters and the bonds between them, he said.

   Beautiful world-building
I finished reading it about a week ago, and I was trying to internalize it. The world is beautiful, the characters have wonderful personalities and strengths, Raymond said. I really bought into the hype, and i guess because of that, during the reading, i felt a bit underwhelmed. The use of language with a mixture of Arabic and English was interesting, Mr. Rule told the inquiry. Not sure I wholly liked the change to less profanity-laced language. Some of the relationships felt a bit forced, like when you were writing a book. I really did love the overall story and it got a lot faster and more action-packed towards the end, and that was fantastic, too, Myers said. I liked the action more than the journey part of the book, even if that makes sense. Overall, it was a good performance, Bruno said. I'm looking forward to the next book and the growth of the author in her writing. I fully support her and can't wait to see what happens next, Beckham said.

   Couldn't put it down!
Brilliant, engaging, and original, Byrne said. It was a bullet, but I could not put it down.
