I loved this book. I gave it a 4 because towards the end was lowkey depressing and featured heavy topics. But the beginning was soo adorable. This book had me thinking about it for multiple days.

Quick Read
Bailee G , Jun 8, 2022
It was an okay book with a twist ending that was only somewhat predictable.
I didn't find myself really connecting with any of the characters and the plot was a little confusing, but it was still an okay book. |

Disappointed
Derived From Web , Dec 17, 2020
I really wanted to read this book, but it wasn't good for me. I found myself just reading so that I could finish the book. I did not feel invested in the characters. The only part of the book that elicited any kind of response from me was the animal cruelty, and I felt that was unnecessary and could have been left out. I wouldn't recommend this book.

Kinda Culturally Insensitive 🥺
Derived From Web , Oct 4, 2020
Fatima is a highly respected name for a dog in the book and the author is a bit problematic in using it. Fatima is the only pet that is described, and she has a chubby nose and wide face. It seems like a play on stereotypes. Next time, do better research to not offend your Muslim Readers.

I don’t get it. SPOILERS

I don't understand the appeal of this book. There is no character development and the writing is pretentious. The narrator is the only character that makes me care about it. I knew the twist early on. The trope of dead the whole time has been eliminated.

Disappointing
Derived From Web , Jun 24, 2018
I gave it 3 stars because of the first 70% of the book. It was easy to read. The romance is a young adult read and love feels real with adolescent hormones, so I didn't find it silly, over the top or corny. The rest of the book is mourning, mourning, mourning, guilt, and more mourning after the plot twist around 80%. The story was going to be over when I rushed to the end. Part of the story development is realistic because I grew up in the 1%. I wouldn't recommend this book for adults. It is a letdown.

Jaw on the floor.
Derived From Web , Jun 8, 2018
What is that? Did, did. It is I. It is just. Did you read? My jaw was on the floor for ten minutes. It is well written. It's so unexpected. It was so much beyond words. There are many books about Mental illness. This is nothing like this before. This book is the epitome of grief and mental instability. If I tried to remove my eyes, I couldn't. It is formatted in a way that is unique and interesting. It is a love story? Is this a mystery? It's a great work of literature that throws the reader for a loop. I was confused by Cadence until the end. She made a lot more sense with her actions and personality.
