Mostly about mundane weather
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My preschooler LOVES interesting weather, my preschooler LOVES. This book is a little misleading though -- the tornado on the cover isn't really the kind of weather this book is about. Inside, is filled with pictures of children playing in the pool in the sun or in the rain, etc. I thought this was going to be a kid-friendly version of pictures and descriptions of tornadoes, hurricanes, that kind of thing. After a few passes throughs, he's pretty bored with this one.

Great series, even for toddlers!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat's 2 year old. Geo - Readers... Geo - Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, pre-readers as well as Level 1 and 2 readers. She loves them all and will ask for certain ones. Pre-readers - Level books are extremely simple and great because she memorizes the words and can read it herself. We also love the more advanced ones because there is more information to talk about. I've learned quite a few facts myself '' ( I have learned quite a few facts, myself ). What a great series. The price is reasonable and the pictures are great. These are really attracting her interest in nature, animals and science... I will continue to buy these as they are released for our collection, as they are released!

Big disappointment
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My three-year-old great granddaughter is fascinated by the weather, particularly tornadoes. I was looking for a book to help her understand the weather, but was drawn to this book for two reasons the name National Geographic. The cover and description of the contents led me to believe that this book would be helpful erroneously. Very limited information in all categories is very, very limited. A complete disappointment.

Did not impress my kindergartner.
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My son is very interested in storms, my son is very active in them. He was disappointed with this book because it talks a lot about the weather in general and very little about storms despite the tornado on the front.

Thumbs down.
Derived From Web , Oct 3, 2020
I like the idea of the book, but not the book. I got it for my son that watched the weather channel all day long. It is a cheap paper book, kind of like the scholastics you used to get at school, with a thicker cover. At least, not very enriching. A throwaway or crayon marking book at best marks a book at best. Boring topic, interesting story. Today Sounds like the news.

Derived From Web , Aug 18, 2020
My kid and I was pretty disappointed from this, it does not have images of tornadoes and is just a bunch of pictures of my 5 year old firsts thing he told me was that this is not a tornado book he wants to see more images and I totally agree. This is a waste of money.

Great book but not much information on tornados!
Derived From Web , Jul 19, 2019
My four year old loves this book, but was a little disappointed that it only had one tiny description of tornadoes. He expected there to be more information and pictures of tornadoes and storms judging by the cover. In all, however, we love reading this book together and the little jokes included are a fun extra! Definitely worth the purchase and read, but I have to find one that focuses more on storms.
