Made our Whole30 Easy and so Delicious!
Derived From Web , Jan 26, 2020
I have seen and loved Melissa's previous cookbooks -- but this is spectacular. We have done the whole30 before -- but this year has been much easier. It definitely helped that all of us are doing it together in 5 different homes, all sharing recipes from Melissa's cookbook -- in 45 minutes or less, and making photos among ourselves and reviews. Honestly -- none of us have made anything that we have not loved. My husband, who has been dragging on Whole30s before -- has not complained a single time that month. We are in our final week of the Whole30 -- but we plan to use Melissa's cookbook year round.

Unique
Derived From Web , Jun 20, 2019
I have been cooking spiralized vegetable recipes for quite some time now and the comfort noodles and zucchini noodles with white clam sauce recipes in this book are two of my all-time favorites. The recipes are surprisingly quick as well. So pleased with the purchase, I bought it in the kindle format as well as having it on hand if I'm out and about.

Meh.
Derived From Web , Aug 23, 2018
The binding fell immediately, the book opening for the first time to use it immediately. In other reviews, I see that I am not the only one with this problem, so the publisher has a bad run. So far, I tried only one recipe from the book, the chicken pesto - meatballs on p. 157. I found the meatballs a bit dry and bland, had to add more salt and pepper than called. Although there were several steps to this dish, even a food processor for the pesto, it did not feel like too much effort and time for a weeknight dinner which I appreciated. I'll keep trying other recipes in the book, even though I am totally pissed that the book falls apart.

Love this book
Derived From Web , Aug 1, 2018
Several of the recipes have already been made. I simply love this book, my favorite of the Well Fed Cookbooks. No problem currently with the binding, but it has been only a week ago. I bought it myself, even if it does not fall apart.

We are basically obsessed with this cookbook. As a ...
Derived From Web , Oct 20, 2017
Basically, we are obsessed with this cookbook. As a working mom with a toddler who loves to cook but has no time for cooking, this book is worth its weight in gold. I think we tried 60% of the recipes and there was only one that was just okay, every other recipe was freaking delicious. We have shelves full of cookbooks that we don 't even crack anymore. My one complaint is the relatively shoddy bind that falls apart after lots of use, but don 't let that deter you. We’ll take it just to a copy shop to be bound if we can find the time! If you are on the fence, buy this book just for fun. Every night you send silent thanks and praise to Mel.

This has been my favorite cookbook from Melissa Joulwan
Derived From Web , Oct 18, 2017
This has been my favorite cookbook by Melissa Joulwan since. It's much more in line with how I cook something quick, lots of variation within the same recipes so that I don 't have to change the technique, but can still get a totally different taste. Now I would agree with others that the binding on this book is really bad - I never had a book come apart quite like this, but it is not enough to dissuade me from recommending it.

The usual fabulous Well Fed content, extremely poor quality binding
Derived From Web , Apr 27, 2017
I love the Well Fed books and the recipes and content merit 5 stars just like the first two. But, like many other reviewers, my book started falling apart before I even had a chance to use it and I am currently using loose pages as bookmarks for other recipes, which arguably handy messes the flow of the book. I hope a new edition with better binding becomes available, as Well Fed is one of the best series of cookbooks, paleo or not, that I have owned, and I recommend it to everyone.
