If I could only buy one book for any family with teenagers, this would be it. Use it for family discussions in advance of tests and college applications, and when the time comes to write college essays, your teen will have a better sense of self and will know what to write about. The more important thing is, obviously, to have a tool like this to help teens become productive and responsible human beings. It is not at all dopey. Stories, resources, activities and framework are all top notch.

I think this is a good method of teaching without lecturing

I have had a few teens in my young group who read certain chapters and completed the exercises. I think that is a good method of teaching without lecturing. In this book, there are some very valuable lessons.

My teen started reading this book and before i knew it, she was no longer interested. So, i tried to read it with her to get her back into it. I am sorry, but it was a waste of money for us.

Not really teen relevant.
Derived From Web , Dec 27, 2021
I expected something that I could dig into with my teen that really addressed relevant character challenges for teens today. The themes were the right topics that teens seem to face, but we couldn t really connect with the delivery. The goal seems to be more in the early 10-11 age range than in the actual teen age range.

Helpful for struggling teens
Derived From Web , Aug 26, 2018
I bought this for my 12 year old daughter, who is struggling with a bad attitude and a poor decision making. She read a chapter every night and, though she didn 't have much to say when I asked her about it, finished the book and is actually reading it again. I have noticed an improvement in her behavior and the consideration of others.
