Beware what you wish for if you get this book.
Useful in all walks of life. The only warning I have for people is that this book has a lot of power. If you read a section at a time and look for an item, you will start to see how much people lie. This book will give insight years beyond what you think you know. It can help people who are a bit socially ackward with feeling comfortable around people they don't know.

   poor quality
The book was printed on low quality paper. The contrast between ink and pictures is not very good. It's hard to read.

A Must Read for Anyone Interested in Reading People Beyond Their Words
Extra copies of the book have been bought for my students. Body Language was dismissed when I first entered law enforcement. Over the years it has become apparent that the body emits signals and signs that speak louder than words. The book is an asset to anyone and will give you the confidence to read people that are beyond words. The movement of the body and parts of the face can make people feel afraid or uncomfortable.

Excellent - a must for understanding body language.
This is an excellent source of information about our bodies. The author provides examples that make sense. Joe Navarro has nailed it with his book. The chapters hold interest and give you information that other books don't. This isn't an in-depth psychology textbook about body language, but it's a great resource. It's easy to apply, it's easy to read and it's easy to understand. Insights are given into everyday situations. I wish that this book was available a long time ago. I would love to read more of his books.

   Know at a glance
The book is very good. I think it should be compulsory for everyone who interacts with anyone to read. I was worried that I would be using my stealth to observe others and their body language. The more I follow the information, the more I realize I'm helping my relationships. I have realized that many of the interactions I would have started were bad timing. I waited until later and it saved us both. A great book. Yvonne is a person.

   Definitely worth the read!
I love the way the book is written and the information it provides. As a fiction writer, I want to create believable characters, but also as an analytical person, I enjoy the complexity of subconscious behavior. The information in this book is easy to understand. It's a lot to digest, but I've learned so much that I now enjoy observing people more than ever.

   Superbly done.
I loved this book. I got the ebook edition of the book because I was interested in the subject of reading people. Excellent choice. I've always been good at reading people, but this book points out a number of things that I've been seeing. Joe's attitude that the signs can show you something is up, but it is not definitive and you only get the answer with more investigation was appreciated. It was interesting to see how someone's mind works and it was an enjoyable read.

   Body language explained
I was an ex police officer and I used some of these techniques every day. The split second decisions are possible because I learned to read people. The book has many good pictures and is easy to read. It's a must read.

   Telling Signs
There are signs of truth in communication that are hidden. Practical advice on understanding what we can observe in context is a departure from the fallacies we have been told about foolproof deception detectors.

Great book to help define expressions
The book helps you understand facial expressions by showing you many photos. This is very helpful in showing a facial reaction rather than a word.
