I bought this book for my girls when we first went to Yellowstone. They enjoyed them so much that I recently purchased one for my nephew for his first trip to Yellowstone. The book has just the right amount of information to help engage children and gets them excited about everything they see when they visit the first national park in our nation.

Great companion

This was a great activity for my 8 year old on the trip and will last as a nice momento since you will record when and where you saw the animal. ESP was great because during COVID-19 they weren 't doing the JR Ranger books.

Great To Use Before And During Trip
Derived From Web , Jul 28, 2019
This was about a month before our trip to Yellowstone and Teton National Park, and our eight-year-old son read it before we left. It gave him a great base for what we would see in the parks, and it also taught my wife and I about some of the wildlife and fauna.

Great purchase for our summer trip to Yellowston
Derived From Web , Jul 4, 2019
My 6year old read this cover to cover our trip to Yellowstone with my cover. She was super excited to fill it up when we were there. We saw it on Amazon for a higher price than in the park. This was a great addition to our vacation and now she has a book to share when she gets back to school and has to answer the obligatory question : What did you do over the summer vacation?

Love It
Derived From Web , Jun 10, 2019
I bought this for my 6 year old and 10 year old. My 10 year old love it and would read us all the facts about each animal or place, but my 6 year old did not like it as much. She is not yet a fluent reader and so the pictures were fun and she liked marking the places she had been and the things she had seen. I really liked that in the animal section, it said, that you are most likely to find that animal. When we were there, we kept our eye on those animals. I would not get this if your child is not well prepared.
