If you could have any animal's front teeth, whose would you choose?
WHAT IF YOU HAD ANIMAL TETH takes children on a fun, informative, and imaginative journey as they explore what it would be like if their own front teeth were replaced by those of a different animal. Featuring a dozen animals (beaver, great white shark, narwhal, elephant, rattlesnake, naked mole rat, hippopotamus, crocodile, and more), this book explores how different teeth are especially adapted for an animal's survival. At the end of the book, children will discover why their own teeth are just right for them. And they'll also get a friendly reminder to take good care of their teeth, because they're the only teeth they'll ever have. Each spread features a photograph of the animal using its specialized teeth on the left and a humorous illustrated image of a child using that animal's teeth on the right. It takes about 6 Hours and 22 minutes on average for a reader to read What If You Had Animal Teeth? Scary Pictures
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
It's a cute idea, but some of the pictures just look too scary. The other teeth shark looks like a gremlin and would scare a few kids, Mr. Spengler said. This is, however, a book for very young children that will probably cause some upset.

Clever Book With Hilarious Illustrations
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My kids absolutely love the book. It's an excellent way to teach them a little about nature, stir the imagination and just have fun with the kids, he said. My son's favorite page is the one where he imagines what it would be like to have the teeth of a shark. She has a huge smile with a mouth full of sharp teeth, and she's about to make a fortune putting teeth under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy. Quattrone and Fassett both said that the latter was "a bit clever."

Great book for animal adaptations!
Derived From Web , Jul 24, 2018
I absolutely love all the books in the series. Beautifully drawn images of animals and plants create an atmosphere of wonder and awe. I used the book with my 3rd grade class when we were learning about animal adaptations. After that, they had to choose a type of animal teeth they'd want to have, explain why, and how those type of teeth would help them survive. I absolutely love that my kiddos do this each year.

Super fun addition to your library
Derived From Web , May 9, 2018
The whole thing is a smash hit with kids. I have four of them and I'm planning on reading them to the kids at school. It's great to hear about what different animals use different parts for their food, they say. It's great value for money, but I wish it came in a more durable format because they get worn out quick. The whole series would be great for your child if they enjoyed learning about animals or were young and you wanted them to read more.

He loves animals and pretends to be something daily lol so these books are right up his alley they basically tell you why animals have certain hair or teeth and what they do with them also talks about what it would be like if you had hairteeth, then at the very end it explains why humans have our type. He also really enjoys the who would win books, i would recommend them to anyone.

A fun way to teach an important science concept!
Derived From Web , Jun 10, 2017
It's just that I can't keep them on the book shelf of my library. The author did a great job of teaching an important science concept in a witty, engaging way, said Dr. Julie Gerberding of the University of Michigan. I love these books so much that I pre-ordered the next one, which is coming out right as school is starting, so I can catch up with the rest of the series. These books would make a great addition to any collection, whether it's at home or at school or just for fun, said Dr. Julie Mason, director of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. I guarantee you, you'll enjoy them all.

Imaginative and informative with funny illustrations!
Derived From Web , Apr 18, 2017
What a great book! The book begins with the losing of a first baby tooth and then the question, "What if an animal tooth grew in instead?" It also explains how human teeth grow and a reminder to take care of them, plus some very entertaining illustrations. Sandra Markle has more books coming out soon, we're told.
