Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

Learn more about what climate change means and how it's affecting our planet.

The earth is definitely getting warmer. There's no argument about that, but who or what is the cause? And why has climate change become a political issue? Are humans at fault? Is this just a natural development? While the vast majority of scientists who study the environment agree that humans play a large part in climate change, there is a counterargument. Author Gail Herman presents both sides of the debate in this fact-based, fair-minded, and well-researched book that looks at the subject from many perspectives, including scientific, social, and political.

Quick, concise insights about climate change
I liked the brief, unadorned description of the facts around climate change provided by the report. If you have any questions, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to spend a short time bringing themselves up to date on the fundamentals of climate change. I chose this rating because the information was presented in a clear, easy to understand format and the writing was concise, Raymond said.

   simple reminders & enlightening facts
Great book for teaching the young about climate change and also for folks who want a quick refresher on what's happening to our beloved earth.
Always love the "What Is.../Who Was..." books
These books are great as they are a quick, easy & fun read for young children to get an overview of big topics throughout history.
   Great series!
This series is great nonfiction for elementary kids, but entertaining enough that I love to read them along with my kids. The climate change book is excellent and as usual with this series, I actually learned a lot, myself!
