What To Expect Before You're Expecting: The Complete Guide To Getting Pregnant is 275 pages long.
Not for me.
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
This book was really boring. Each chapter drags on. I wonder if doctors are paid to recommend tests under the sun? It's not for me, but you' ll find this to be the most helpful book out there, but I wasn't expecting that. Good luck.

If you're pregnant, you need this
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
This is needed by every pregnant woman in their library. It's easy to follow, broken up into nice sections, and full of information. The chapters after and before take care of all the other stuff, so you' re not flipping around often. It's nice that it's broken up like that since you' re either going to read on csections or month 8 at the same time.

Lighthearted informative take on an intimidating subject.
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
I am a person who wants all the facts before starting something. This is realistic about the preparation for TTC. I don't know if it was confusing to a layperson, but the what to increase, decrease, and avoid before trying for a baby is what I missed as an RN. There was a section for Dad's part in each chapter. They had a section for gay and lesbian couples who might be interested in using In- Vitro or surrogates.

This title is infamous
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
If you' re a woman older than 18 you' ve probably heard the title What to Expect... The book lives up to expectations. It's well written, funny, and even has parts for the father- to- be. Now I know how to test for my O and what other signs to be on the outlook for, I hope this helps direct my DH and I TTC and make our BD even more effective. It is well worth the money. Can't wait to get the next title, What to Expect When You' re Expecting!

After 18 mths of TTC
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
When we were trying to have a baby, I purchased this. The book has great advice on dealing with ttc and encouraging fertility. If natural conception isn't working, it also offers other methods of conception. When we tried for 18 months, we were extremely disappointed and this book helped us get through that time. The baby will be 6 months old soon and we are happy to be holding him. I kept this book for any future children we might try for or for any friends that need that extra guidance.

Easy to read and understand
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
I didn't finish this book because I found out that I was pregnant midway through, but I found both easy to read and very informative. These books aren't written for a clinical audience, but they aren't trying to be funny. A lot of these books seem to make a lot of jokes at the woman's expense, it was nice for us to find something that was clear and concise so we just go the facts.

Lots of good info
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
I consider myself to be above average when it comes to knowing my body and my cycle, but I had no idea how much I didn't know until I read this book. Great information. I got pregnant after reading the second half of the book.

Just buy the "Expecting" book. Not worh it.
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
I thought I'd get a lot of information with What to Expect when You' re expecting. Get expecting. There isn't enough new and useful information in Before Expecting that is already in the Expecting section. Many of the other reviews said it was dull.

There is a lot of useful information in this book. I didn't find the book to have the information I was looking for online, but it was a good resource to have on hand when I was planning to have a baby.
