   Book review
I have spent many summers on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This book brought to life the natural world in that area, as well as romance and suspense. I greatly enjoyed reading it.
Poor girl growing up in swampland
Very descriptive of girl growing up in poor conditions in dysfunctional family.
I started listening to this on Audible but after the first few chapters decided to buy the book at a local bookstore instead. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I finished it in 2 days. The storyline is good and well written. Even though I was looking forward to watching the movie, the book is so much better!
   Fantastic read!

   Book and movie are amazing!
Very good storytelling and hard to put down!
   nice read
At the beginning of the book I was mostly bored, but once she started getting older and expressing her feeling towards more emotions, the book felt more relatable. I wouldn't recommend to readers who don't love books that have an older feel to it.
   One of my favorite books!
Fantastic book! The mental imagery is just stunning from her words. Excellent twists and turns leave you guessing. Wonderful read, I couldn't put it down!
   Very Good Book!
This Book was very good and hard to put down once I started reading it. It was mystery, romance and autobiography all rolled into one book. It was written in great detail and you feel like you are right there with her. I enjoyed reading it very much.
