Intensely creepy!
Derived From Web , Jan 14, 2022
White Smoke is written by Tiffany D. Jackson as a family arrives in their new home. They moved away from problems and into a house with its own problems. The family includes a teen girl, Marigold, her younger brother, Sammy, and her stepsister, Piper. Marigold and Sammy's mother married Piper's father. When new things start happening in their weird home, they don 't know what to think. Mari thinks she might be hallucinating when she sees a blackened hand reach into her shower, but suspects Piper when items are misplaced. The neighborhood is odd and no one will talk to them really. They stare just at you.

White Smoke was a hit!
Derived From Web , Oct 26, 2021
Honestly, I was a little skeptical at first about this book, just because it sounds like the typical cliché - horror - film. The new girl in town runs away from her problems, there are issues with the family, they move into what is deemed a haunted house, the youngest talking to the ghosts blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah's in town, Jordan Peele, however, surprised me in a Tiffany Jackson fashion almost in a horror style, especially for middle-class black families. I was waiting for the twist of this book because if you are a Tiffany Jackson fan you know that she always has a twist at the end and this twist has left me STUNNED. This book was so good and I can honestly say that there isn't a Tiffany Jackson book that I read that wasn 't beyond fantastic. Honestly, I would be a little intrigued to see a sequel to this book. It left with a lot unfinished as far as how the rest of the night or days are going to go in this neighborhood.

Perfect and Quick Read for Spooky Season
Derived From Web , Oct 20, 2021
Has also some mental issues such as phobias and drugs, as well as heavy health issues. Sets a spooky setting. I read this at night, fearing that I may even have nightmares, because I was so creeped out. It was a quick read for me because there was always something happening that kept me on the edge of my seat. The twist was not at all predictable and my mouth dropped. I wish I could have gotten more info about the city and the foundation. I feel like it was such an important part of the plot that I'm surprised we didn 't have more, especially towards the end. I was thinking through the book, that is it? It needed an additional chapter or two. Overall, it was a good read and I enjoyed it. October is a perfect read for October and the spooky season!

Spooky and intense read!
Derived From Web , Sep 19, 2021
I really enjoyed this story, though I am a big scary cat and had to keep pausing SEVERAL times LOL. I don 't see very many YA books with this much spook factor, which is an automatic plus! The people in the town are creepy, the house is creepy and Piper!?! Whew... OH and the plot twists. I see just a small reason why this might be compared to Get Out.. but not really... maybe old school people under the stairs vibes, but this is in a category all its own! I disliked the ending... very much! Lol's wife is a very special treat.

Spooky Season
Derived From Web , Sep 18, 2021
I am such a big fan of the work of Tiffany D. Jackson. This book was as enticing as all the others. Normally, I don 't read “ scary stories â€, but this was worth the exception. I was invested so much in this story. I couldn t wait to see how it would unfold. While I thought this book was wonderful, I felt like there were too many loose ends left untied. At the end, I had so many questions. I never got the happily ever after that I was hoping for. I need at least one more chapter on Yusef and Marigold.
