Book Overview

The inspiring story of Vice President Kamala Harris told in the new Who HQ Now format for trending topics.

On November 7, 2020, Kamala Harris, a senator from California, became the first woman and the first African-American and South Asian-American person to be elected to the vice presidency. While her nomination for this position was not unexpected, her rise to national prominence was one filled with unexpected turns and obstacles. After failing her first bar exam to become a lawyer, she tried again and passed. From there, she quickly rose through the legal ranks, serving as district attorney of San Francisco, then California's attorney general, and soon, senator. As a politician, Kamala Harris has been a vocal champion of progressive reforms and women's rights. This exciting story details the defining moments of what led to her nomination and all the monumental ones since that have shaped her career and the future of America.

   Great
Upper middle school students are especially excited about these biographies. They can learn a lot without even reading a book. I buy them all for my teacher's budget.

   Highly recommend
I've read all the books, and boy did I love them all. All have been educational and well written. 0 1462228 This book is truly educational, said Dr. Goin.

   More like a pamphlet
It's a book that was apparently slapped together in a couple of hours. Not worth any price and certainly not up to the usual standards of these Who Is books that are love kids.

Great way to teach your kids.
What a difference a book makes? The Harrisons cover everything from Broadway to Hollywood. We were thrilled to find this one about Kamala Harris, we said.

Disappointed by the brevity of the book!
I've read all the books, and I'm a huge fan of the series. I've purchased about 50 titles in the past several months and was very much looking forward to adding this to my collection, he said. Vice President Joe Biden said Monday that although Nancy Reagan's political career was relatively short, she understood the breadth of the American dream. The book is actually a pamphlet, with the writer saying: "The content is more like a pamphlet." There are also some titles from far less accomplished individuals with book content two to three times greater than this product. I purchased the book because of its historical significance and for posterity, she said. I would be remiss to state the obvious the content needs some beefing up, Mr. Cowger said.

   Madam VP
Great biography, Robert Heingold wrote. We salute you, Lord. My daughter and I enjoyed the rest of the story, too, Raymond said. Recommended for parents and teachers.

Shortest Who Is book I have ever seen!
I was extremely excited to receive this book and I cannot wait to read it with my daughter. I pre-ordered the book so that it would arrive on its release date. The day before the inauguration, the newspaper said Mr. Kennedy would have served as president. When I opened the book, I was taken aback by the lack of pages. I compared it to my other Who WasIs books and found that it was 13 to 12 the size of all of the other books.
