Book Overview

Have you ever wondered who hummed the first tune?

Was it the flowers? The waves or the moon? Dove Award-winning recording artist Ellie Holcomb answers with a lovely lyrical tale, one that reveals that God our Maker sang the first song, and He created us all with a song to sing.

   So beautiful!
This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read, hands down. Both the words + the artwork are gorgeous. I bought this for my son as a Christmas present. I hope he will grow up to treasure it + the message it carries.
   Beautiful pictures
The images in this book are remarkable! But the content does not keep my daughters'attention the way others have. However, great content is still.
   Not that great
I received this book because I thought it would be great as Don 't forget to remember, but it is not. I wish it had more to it, my Toddler is not into it.
   You need it. Now.
We read the book and listen to the song and sets the tone for the day. It helps us to see our course when we are overwhelmed or unkind to each other. I 'll catch my daughter singing the song and it invites questions and conversations about God. The illustrations are absolutely breathtaking. My girls will complain that I turn the pages so slowly, but it's because there is so much to take in on each page! Gorgeous book, wonderful textswords, beautiful message. Also, make sure to get Ellie's other book, Don 't forget to remember. Beautiful and we all need the reminder ''. And Mamas, listen to every podcast that Ellie is a guest on. She is so life-affirming, upbeat and kind, and she loves the Word. She brought so much peace and calm through her books and songs to my family.
   Amazing book!
Thank you Ellie for a beautiful book to give to my niece on her first birthday! The message is beautiful and your illustrator is one of the best I ever seen. The diversity of the book is also something I really loved and appreciated. , '' .
   Sing, sing, siiiiing!
I heard Ellie and her sweet daughter sing this song at the Word Alive Conference. '' I purchased the book and CD for my two little ones immediately. I even took it up for my preschoolers and it was a big hit! This would make an incredible gift for birthdays and baby showers.
Joyful, beautiful, and so fun to read!
I am a huge Ellie Holcomb fan and this past week I found out that she made this book... so I had to get it for my 7 month old daughter who loves reading time and board books and is becoming more and more engaged with her books as the days go by. We sing Ellie's sweet babykid songs to our daughter all the time, so it was exciting to see one of her songs put into book form. This book is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the illustrations are so full of color and joy!!! Every single page is so pretty and I love diversity too. Love the way the book flows, reads the book. Uses lots of great literary devices like nature imagery and onomatopoeia making it really fun to read Aloudget silly and also great for the imagination! It is fun to discover who sang the first song? '' and seeing God's hand in it all and his great love for us. Love what this book teaches, what this book teaches. Sweet is sweet for babies and adults alike.
