Book Overview

Stanley Lieber was just seventeen when he got his first job at Timely Comics in 1939. Since then, the man now known as Stan Lee has launched a comic book empire, made Marvel Comics a household name, and created iconic superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four. Stan Lee is still dreaming up caped crusaders and masked vigilantes in his nineties. Who Is Stan Lee? tells the story of a New York City kid with a superhero-sized imagination.

The book is a great introduction into Stan Lee's life
My son wanted to do a biography and I couldn't find the book. It's great to have such a great introduction to Stan Lee by Wolford, Savage said. The book has been described as "appropriate" for children ages 3 to 12, and "easy to navigate." When I read his book, I became a Lee Stan fan. The overall message we took from this book is that perseverance pays off and that doing what you love makes work fun, Bruno said.

   Fast read
A great read, and I'm not a big fan of Dr. Goin's books. I would give it 5 stars if the stories were more detailed.

What a great book, the most interesting part was how he used his given name STANLEY to become a Stanford.

   Educational and entertaining
He also loved the story, Grandson said. Had a chance to explain the Great Depression and World War II to a 9-year-old. Our grandson absolutely loves the whole series.
