   excellent reader
This is an interesting and educational book. It combines fiction with their "creature powers" and a lot of non-fiction as it is full of animal facts. It's not a story with bad guys like in the show. It is a level 2 reader, but it is an advanced level 2 reader due to content and length. The site has advanced language features, including "ordinary" and "tentacles." LeapFrog's book is 32 pages long and a challenge for a child that can read some of the simpler readers alone. The book can be read aloud until the child is ready to read on his or her own. The illustrations are clear and help the children make observations and can understand the plot of the story. Overall, this is an excellent book, said Dr. Robert Putnam, who co-chaired the inquiry.

   Good!
If your kid is a WK fan, they'll love this book. My 5yo enjoys it and reads it to his fan sister. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

   Great for early readers
It's a present for a 6 year old who is obsessed with everything animal. He was so excited to get it, Taylor said.

   Fun read
My child particularly likes the Yeti Crabs and the Colossal Squid. Note the extra difficulty of reading Level 2 books.

   Such a fun book!
My kids LOVE the Wild Kratts and I thought it would be fun to add this book to their repertoire. This book has a lot of pictures taken from the show so it brought a lot of familiarity to my kids as well. It's well written and well worth the read, said Jennette Tamayo, a teacher.

   More mid-level reader
I was hoping this book would be more early-reader friendly. My kids love sharks. But it has too many, too complicated words per page and my early reader, kindergartener, is not thrilled. This was not a good choice for us, and may be better for more confident readers, Mrs. Pearson said.
