Wonderful book, but buyer beware
Derived From Web , May 21, 2022
Wonderful book, but buyer beware, this edition is full of typos. A very cheap print is also possible. There are not only misspellings, but words repeated, missing or smashed together within sentences, digits instead of letters, the wrong punctuation as well as inappropriate punctuation in the middle of a sentence and other small errors.

Reads more like a history book
Derived From Web , Jun 26, 2020
It is, however, not an easy read and is structured more like a history book than a novel. For me it is a harder read, though there are interesting aspects that keep my interest. Wish I could have read it on Amazon Prime instead of paying for it. It is a one-time read and forgotten for me.

A must read for adventurers
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2020
I have hard copies in both English and French and recently bought the paper edition to have an accessible copy wherever I am, just in case I had the urge to read it again. There is such a sense of wonder and adventure in the way St. Exupery writes and describes things, it makes you wish you could see the world through his eyes.

The pioneer pilots of Post WWI, flying mail around the planet. Saint-Exupery lights the dim corridors of a history we have forgotten. He sees the Mundain and the poetic points of the world in a sad justice. The vibrant and mundane draw you in with the awesome colors that Saint-Exupery paints in word. There are some great outlooks in this book and several great quotes, interesting situations and adventures galore.

I really enjoyed his descriptions of nature and sometimes it is very poetic ''. It was interesting to get a taste of the pioneer pilots. Either very courageous or very reckless is very dangerous.

Heterodoxy
Derived From Web , May 1, 2017
I'm going to go against the common critical orthodoxy and say that this writer is as good as he is and is thoughtful and poetic unnecessarily wordy. When the author tells stories, he is very good.
