One of my very favorite books

5 years ago, I read this book. I told all my friends about it. I decided to read it again after I came across it again. It is one of my favorites. I try to imagine what my life would have been like if I lived in Cuba. I can't imagine my government telling me all the bad things about the USA. His task of bringing his family here is unbelievable. I' ve read reviews by newspapers and know it's true. I hope I would be brave enough to save my family.

The book is amazing and the story is true. I would definitely recommend it to others. The Cuban experience is frightening and the insight to Russian life in the 80's was a true picture. It took courage for him to fly to Cuba under the radar to pick up his family.

This book is an example of what a person will do for his family and freedom. The realities of the outside world were denied to Orestes by the communist regime, and he became dissatisfied. If he had the guts to steal one of my Migs, let's see if he has the guts to get his family. That is what Orestes did with God. Orestes flew his family to freedom. It is a must read for people who value freedom.
