Book Overview

Happy Holidays 2015 It has been a rough year for the Quinns, but I would like to start by saying thank you for all of the well wishes and positive missives sent our way.

A second Christmas on Nantucket finds Winter Street Inn owner Kelley Quinn reflecting on the past year as he writes a holiday letter to friends and family. Though the year has had its share of misfortune and worry, the Quinns have much to celebrate. Kelley, now single, at least is on better terms with his first wife Margaret, who is using her celebrity to lure customers to the inn in record numbers. Their son Kevin has a beautiful new baby, Genevieve, with the Inn's French housekeeper, Isabelle; and their daughter, Ava, is finally dating a nice guy--her devoted colleague, Scott.

Now the Quinns are looking forward to celebrating Genevieve's baptism, welcoming Isabelle to the family, and enjoying the cheer of Nantucket's traditional Christmas Stroll. But just when a peaceful family gathering seems within reach, Kelley's estranged second wife, Mitzi, shows up on the island after souring on her relationship with the inn's former Santa Claus. Soon Kelley isn't the only Quinn entertaining a surprise guest from Christmases past as lovers old and new gather beneath the mistletoe. With jealousy, passion, and eggnog consumption at an all-time high, it's going to take a whole lot more than a Read More chevron_right

   Cute story, quick read
Continuation of the Winter Street series. The characters continue to grow and be of interest. Can’t wait to finish the series to find out what happens to the Quinn family.
I love thebook but I hate the wait
I had read the winter st first and was anxious to read wintervstroll to see what happened to everyone. I have to find out a whole year to wait. What happened to the soldiers? I hate the book, but I love the wait.
   To Be Continued
I did not realize that this would turn into a series. I believe that there is too much Quinn family drama to be contained in one or two books.
   Elin Never Fails
Winter Stroll is another winner of Elin Hilderbrand! I have read all her books and, yes, some are better than others, but I sat down expecting to be entertained and I was! Christmas is not always happy, as one reviewer intimated, difficult situations happen all the time. I found the characters believable. In Mitzi's case, her drinking is real and Jennifer and her oxys... both understandable. We probably all know people like that. I had to chuckle at the dialogue between Barrett and his mother, it was so real. I won 't summarize the book, but I will say that I am looking forward to the third book of the winter trilogy. I feel like I am part of Elins every time I read one of Nantucket's books.
Enjoy all of Elin Hilderbrand's books
Elin Hilderbrand enjoys all the books of Charles Stark. Had recently finished Nancy Thayer's Christmas on Nantucket, so I enjoyed reading another about Nantucket and Christmas stroll.
Can 't wait for the next one. Very good writer and mad that you feel like you were on the island. Christmas stories always make the heart swell.
   wonderful sequel to "Winter Street"
This book leaves us easily where Winter Street picks up. Although a year has ended, it is very easy to remember what happened and quickly slide into a new year. Elin really pulls at our heart strings with the events in the characters'lives. This book will connect with the personal feelings of many readers. I only wish that we don 't have to wait another year to see how certain events unfold.
Icky [Not Icy!] Walk on Natucket
Awful : Nantucket seems to be a hotbed for lowlife people with issues '' or magnets. And we never find out if the POW - son comes home alive.
   Elin Hilderbrand is Fantastic!
In this trilogy, I can not wait for the last book. Her books are very easy to read and very enjoyable. When you are done, you want more!
   Christmas in Nantucket, with complications.
It loved her! Unfortunately, Ms. Hilderbrand did not finish the story, it stopped just. I hope this means that there is another episode to tie loose ends.
