The pack cannot have weakness - the wolf mother knows that her pup is condemned to die.

One of the most well-written books for 'tweens - absolutely captivating
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
My daughter stumbled across this series when she was looking for a book to report in class on. I must say that we are both happy that she found this! Lone Wolf is the first of a series and introduces the main character Faolan. Faolan is a wolf pup who was abandoned due to a deformity shortly after birth. Fortunately for him, he is soon discovered by a grizzly bear he names Thunderheart, who lost her cub recently. She raises him as her own and adopts him in Bear-fashion. They do not read as talking animals, but as sentient beings with very distinct personalities, thoughts and feelings, they really come alive on the pages. My daughter enjoyed this introduction to Faolan and his world so much that she is reading the entire series steadily.

Unveil Your Inner Fangirl
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
The wolves of the beyond, The Lone Wolf, by Kathryn Lasky is a thrilling novel about a wolf named Faolan as he embarks on the journey of a lifetime. This book has attracted many readers and will leave you hunting for more, as you learn of a destiny written in the stars... When a she-wolf named Moragg gives birth to a pup with a splayed paw, she knows that the rules of her clan cause her to leave him to die. But when Faolan rescues him and names him Thunderheart, the pair becomes inseparable. When tragedy strikes, Faolan must strike on his own in a world full of danger. This enchanting read will reveal your inner fangirl with a character we can all relate to. It teaches a lesson that many fail to teach, the social crime of prejudice, and how not to judge someone by what you see, but by their heart.

My 11-year Old Niece Loves This Book
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
I bought this for my 11-year-old niece along with other gifts for Christmas 2012, and she loved the book so much that she sent me a special thank you note just for it. The series seems like a great way to teach children to value animals in an engaging way. It gives the animals human feelings and scenarios so that children can better relate to animals. The books seem to be interesting and well-written. I bought the rest of the series this Christmas because she enjoyed the first so much. Our family has a Native American background, so while I do not have any problem with hunting or teaching her to teach, I thought these books would also help her learn to be respectful of the animal spirits and appreciate them for their contribution to her dinner table.

touching, imaginative
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
I thought this book might be a little too young for me, but was happy to discover that it straddles the gap between children and adults in a winsome fashion. The Kindle version is done nicely with some illustrations included. Touched by the story, finding the imagination traveling along with the main character and hoping for the best on the way. In all, Wolves of the Beyond scores big in these areas of reading experience.

Great book about wolves

The book liked very much. Almost life-like the characters had and had personalities just like humans. I have read all the books in the series since then and hope that Ms Lasky will write another soon.
