August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid--but his new classmates can't get past Auggie's extraordinary face. Wonder, a #1 New York Times bestseller, begins from Auggie's point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community's struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance. Uno de mis nuevos libros favoritos
Derived From Web , May 27, 2022
Llegó a tiempo.

A Great Story for All Ages
Derived From Web , Sep 16, 2020
What a great story. I was looking for books with positive messages for my seventh graders to read, and I think I found the perfect one. Middle school is hard on everyone, and Auggie's genetic abnormality makes his first time at school harder. Throughout his first year, the book sticks with him as he goes through the ups and downs of being a kid. Auggie's worries about fitting in and the sometimes funny, sometimes sad hijinks he gets into would really connect to kids. I liked how this book flowed. As a reader, you can see how Auggie learns from the people around him, as well as the lessons he learns from his point of view. He teaches others to have basic compassion and humanity, to stop underestimating and discriminating against differences that are outside anyone's control.

Issues with book quality
Derived From Web , Aug 20, 2020
It had a black ink on the back of the book. When I took it out of the envelope, it stained my fingers. Also, from the pictures, there is a small bump in the upper part of the book that has hurt some pages. According to the product description, the condition was new, so that the quality of the book was not expected to be what new condition ''.

Bad translation
Derived From Web , Sep 14, 2019
I received this book to read with my class aloud and discuss the social part of the book. The translation is bad just. There are paragraph fragments all over the first 12 chapters that are what I could read.

Castillian Translation
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2019
I only leave one star because I was unaware that I was purchasing a Castillian translation. This is not mentioned anywhere in the books unless you count the next to the title, but every Latin American translation, whether it is in a Castillian or a Spanish dialect, has the next to its title. It would be very helpful if the dialect into which it is translated.
