The first book of the series was very good. The story of the mystery of the old farm house and the woodshed was exciting to read to my granddaughter. Part of the story was American history, which made for an interesting history lesson. The warm family relationships in this story are just as charming as they were in the first book.

My daughter will finish a book a day if I let her, and she is burning a whole in my pocket while she does. She likes the books in the series.
