Shameless money grab using Bourdain's name

As others have said, this book is worthless as a guidebook and useless as travel writing. Tangentially related to Bourdain's exploits, there is nothing redeeming about this.

A Poor Book That Exploits Tony Bourdain Name and Legacy

This is exactly the book, TB said he would never do and no one should have been given permission to use his name for a single. The book is created by TB not Laurie Woolever. Yes, it includes some TB quotations, but the structure, information, locations and most of the insights are complete Dreck. Useless as a travel guidebook and provides none of the wit, humor, insight and irreverence that Bourdain made great.

i miss AB so much i HAD to buy this book. If you are a traveler or going to be one, you might like. Here is Very Little AB from Very Little AB. Not the authors fault, she was pretty up front.

Not at all what I expected, this is a thin, shallow list of places to go across the world by city. You can find these online. I expected a book written in AB's voice, with true detail. Each countrycity has a new, unrevealed excerpt from his previously broadcast shows, with no aired content readers led to believe that it would include.

If you watched his shows and read his books, this is all the material you've seen. Besides a few new memories from friends and family, there is nothing new besides a few old remembrances from friends and family. I think Tony would be ashamed that this book was published with his name sprayed across the cover, it is just the kind of schmaltz he despised. I understand the author and the publisher's desperation to finish a project they'd no doubt put into work, but this is not worth the readers'time. The travel info is completely useless and all of the venues mentioned were presented on his programs. Besides, the point of traveling, especially in the style promoted by Tony, is to explore and find your own special undiscovered spot. Tony left his own heritage, unless someone finds a notebook filled with unpublished essays. This cashing is in period both crass and inventible. R.I.P. R.I.P. Tony deserved better, you deserved Tony.
