Shut your eyes while mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.

In this whimsically illustrated rendition of Eugene Field's timeless lullaby, Coral Keehn lights a starlit path for sleepy readers through the night sky of a wonder filled dreamscape.

   Still magical
I bought this for a two year old. I remember my mom reading this poem to me when I was a child, and I found it here on Amazon, which brought back those memories. In a book like this, the illustrations are important. The images capture the magic of the story. Sharing the magic of this classic poem with a new generation is something I recommend.

   A Favorite
When I was a kid, I wanted a cute book with the poem for my own child. I have been very happy after finding this. There are three children in a wooden shoe on the board book cover. The mother is redheaded. I am not sure if the illustrations are the same based on the reviews. The illustrations in our copy are lovely. My daughter likes to look at them. We have read the poem many times to her and she can nearly recite it on her own. My husband and I memorize it all the time for her, and we do it without the book.

   A Favorite from my Childhood
I remember this poem from when I was small. My brother and I would get it from my mom at the end of the day. The family went to visit a close friend of theirs who has a baby girl. We had to put my mom to bed. My mom was shocked and touched when I remembered the lullaby that I began to recite. My friend asked me to get the book so that she could give her little girl the same kind of memories that I have. I ordered the book before I returned. I wrote a dedication in the book and have sent it off. We both agree that the illustrations are beautiful. You should get it for your little one. You will be happy.

   Nice little bed time book.
My mother read this to me when I was a child, but this is a larger book, so my daughter and granddaughter will have a good time with it.

   Memories
I have a book of Eugene Fields poems. My mother used to read them to me at night. I don't understand why this book can't be re- released. The poems this man wrote should be published. Children need to hear poetry as much as we did when we were younger. Perhaps more.

Book is BEAUTIFUL. Shipping box damaged book covers
The book is perfect for children of a range of ages. There is a statue of Eugene Field in Lincoln Park, which is where this poem was written. The illustrations by Westerman complement the simple yet lush prose, both in the colors and graceful sweep of figures and landscapes. I am giving each of us three children their own copy of that book. The jackets were nicked after the books were thrown into a large box.

   A Wonderful Introduction to Poetry
I bought this poem for my children's children. I always like this poem. It was the first poem I remember when I was younger, and it was the reason I continued to read poetry as I grew older. I understood the process of interpreting poetry when I was a child, since the poet explains who Wynken, Blynken and Nod really are at the end of the poem. I want my grandsons to be introduced to poetry as well.

   Great poem for young ones!
The book was well packed and well written. This was a present for a new baby. There is a poem with history in my family. It was important to get this book. The book is not correct. I am very upset that I didn't check for this. The buyer didn't catch it. The page and verse start with the old moon laughing. The book and poem are not true. I paid a high price for a messed up book.
