All good things must come to an end

I peeked at the first page around midnight. I was going to read 10 the next day. I was reading the last 20 or so pages around 2 or 3 am. For a long time, I wondered how you can end this. There is a scene a few pages from the end of the second- to- last chapter with such an epic reference to earlier issues that it left my mouth agape. It's entirely possible you' ll find your eyes misty before this journey's over, and when the tale is finished, you may be in denial. It's not uncommon for readers to be dissatisfied with the way the story ended, but I can't imagine a better way. A masterpiece start to finish was written on a piece of paper. Reading Whys and Wherefores was one of the highlights of my literary career.

Let down

I agree with the other reviewers that this last volume is disappointing. It doesn't make sense that the end is rushed. Almost all of the people living are clones? There is a build for the conclusion of one of the story lines. The series ended in a way that doesn't make sense given the characters involved.

Amazingly impactful end to a series
Derived From Web , Feb 14, 2022
My fiancée came in to the bedroom and found me crying after I finished volume 10. After years with these characters, I can't say I loved what ending they had, but I loved that the authors took me on a long emotional journey and made me feel for these people on the page. The ending was enjoyable. This is the kind of book that sticks in my mind days after I' ve closed it, and while it would be painful for me to go back and read it again, I'd love to relive the journey and see what new things I can learn on a second read. That's the best endorsement I can give.

Must Read. Outstanding.

I' ve read a lot of comics and graphic novels, but only a few have been so good that the emotional response was almost physical. The Y The Last Man series is one of them. The manwomanlife dynamic was explored in so many ways and on so many levels in the story. I remember reading someone else's comments that the series shouldn't end while I'm still in it, and I don't want to end it. I have to disagree now that I have finished the story. The story met an appropriate conclusion, but no Hollywood ending here. Get it now. It's time to read it.

IT IS AMAZING, you must own and read the series

This series of books is not for children and may be a graphic novel, but it is not a comic book. I can't recommend this book enough, it's amazing, the character development, the plot, the intrigue, it's all in one word, W O W. It's!

Flawed, but fun

The story had a lot of references to pop culture and classical literature. I might have taken it a bit more seriously if all of the women had been illustrated as pin up babes.
