Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

Once upon a time, there was a girl from Kansas named Dorothy.

You might know her as the Girl Who Rode the Cyclone. She ended up in Oz, where she became friends with the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. But the temptation of magic was too much for her. She let it change her. Her friends became twisted versions of their former selves.

The magical land of Oz is now a dark and menacing place.

My name is Amy Gumm. Tornadoes must have a thing about girls from Kansas, because I got swept away on one too. I also landed in Oz, where Good is Wicked, Wicked is Good, and the Wicked Witches clued me in to my true calling:

Assassin.

The only way to stop Dorothy from destroying Oz and Kansas is to kill her. And I m the only one who can do it.

But I failed. Others died for my mistakes. Because of me, the portal between the worlds has been opened and Kansas and Oz are both in danger. And if I don t find a way to close it?

Dorothy will make sure I never get to go home again.

Beware!! Not the last book in series!!
It has kept me interested in the WHOLE time! I was so excited to see this series finished just to see that there were only 20 pages left and about 10 things unresolved... This is NOT the last book! I am so excited for that but also disappointed that I rushed to the end to see what would happen. I LOVE YOU! This is a very important piece of information for the LA Times. STRETCH SERIES!

I haven 't started this book since I put it down. The fact that I had such a busy weekend made it impossible for me to finish in one sitting, but every chance I got, I listened to it. Cliffhanger gave me a heart attack. Since I listened to the audiobook, I did not know that it would be ending soon. I just don 't know how to feel. I need to catch my breath and cry a little bit.

After reading the Wicked Will Rise, I was left hankering for the new installment in Paige's series, but was truly let down. The book was a good speed read for my vacation, but was nowhere near as good or as enjoyable as the first two books in the series. It was completely seamed, as though Paige rushed to meet a deadline when she wrote this book. I think this book could have been much better with more time. I think there were also many plot twists and if Paige had focused just one, the book could have been better worlds. The new land line also felt forced, though the publishers are only hoping to make money off Paige's series until the books make no sense. Kudos, however, deserves Paige for doing her research on the new series to find a new villain. In all, a good quick read and I am glad I read it, but I won 't read the fourth soon.

   Still Good
I think of all the shorts and longs of this world, this one was good while still slow. Not exactly the roll out of the plot, but just in content as she gets back to her mom and back to school, just seemed to slow everything down where I didn 't feel this way with the first two. I enjoy the characters and the way this Oz feels differently than other books. In the next long, the content and pace will be matched evenly!

   She's done it again !!
Today I finished this book in the mall and got it right now! I love Danielle's work on the Wizard of Oz - story! I was never a fan of Dorothy, it was also the witch I was attached to, I thought this was going to be the final book... ) It's not! This is the book where we find the end game, though we never truly are. Dorothy starts back in her home, and she tries to find the fated sliver shoes of first Amy. It's such a book filled with twists and turns! I have to say that the material is dark, it has always been with this series. But this one, a little more so. Love it! Can 't wait for more!

Great read! The only problem is that it forced me to read all the other books. The Expensive Series is a new series. Still great!

   Love this series
Left on a cliffhanger, but as a quick read, I am excited to continue the story. I also ship Nox and Amy hard, though they can 't catch a break.
