Soon to be a Netflix Film in March 2021

From the New York Times bestselling creators of I Wish You More, Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld, a funny look at the one day of the year that can compete with Christmas for children's affection: YES DAY

No matter how silly the request, there is one day a year when kids always receive a positive response: Can I have pizza for breakfast? YES Can we have a food fight? YES Can I stay up really late? YES

The simple text coupled with delightful illustrations will send kids on a journey into their wildest wishes. With humor and appreciation for life's little pleasures, Yes Day captures the excitement of being a kid.

Jennifer Garner uses Yes Day as inspiration for an annual magical day of all things YES with her children. She was a little worn out after 24 hours of pure YES in 2017, but she still praised Yes Day as a fantastic children's book.

My 2-1/2 year old loves this book
I thought that our 2-12 year old would probably not get it, but he LOVES it and completely understands it. I would recommend this book for older children, too... probably 1st or 2nd graders. He loves that the star of the book is a little boy too, and I think he feels like it could be him in it. Book is great! We also have other Amy Krouse Rosenthal books like Little Pea, Little Hoot, and Little Oink, which he really likes to hear over and over again... you get the idea. However, as a parent, I would add that when you read this book out loud, you kind of have to fill in the holes for smaller children, because the boy in the book asks questions to which the answer is obviously yes, but there is no text to this effect. So we used the pictures to help us tell the story and describe a little more about what is going on and now our son can tell it back to us.

I would never rate this a good shape
Definitely not pleased. I know it is used, but the re-sticks are in the front cover and all pages are curled up. I would not purchase it again.

   Not worth it
I wish there was more detail about why a yes day should be done as well as potential requests that would not be allowed. It was all a series of small requests where the parent says yes.

As an elementary teacher, I am very particular with children's books. This was in the cutest sense, but not enough. I would not have purchased it if I knew that the book had no explanation. Every article was can we do this, yes, can we do this, yes, can we do this, yes, yes.
