Refocus

This is an amazing book that calls followers of Jesus to remember that their marriage is in the context of God's plan for building His kingdom, he said. It is practical and radical in that it doesn't focus on marriage in an effort to make it good, Raymond said. Rather, it points us to the life God calls us to be married people. The difference between the two is that the former is a dramatic distinction that makes all the difference. It also elevates marriage to what God has in mind for us. I have a lot of refocusing to do in my marriage that will bring God glory, he said. Yes, I do not consider marriage to be about us. The book is also a picture of God's desire for His church.

Needs a little help.

If you never did, you are missing out on a great deal of culture. The book has video that apparently helps couples rekindle faith in marriage. Couldn't get the video to go with the instructions. This is a work in progress, Mr. Rule told the judge.

NOT cliche, perspective-altering book!

A great book of marriage. Chan challenges you to think about how your marriage is eternally affecting your partner. Short and easy to read, too.

Important Book
Derived From Web , Jan 12, 2021
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Indeed, Chan suggests that most marriage problems aren't marriage problems at all, but rather God problems. Only when your relationship with your Creator is solid and you are your primary relationship will all relationships improve. This book will appeal to those who understand what the Gospel is and why God should be the center of your life. The devil wants us to forget that this is all temporary - he wants us to focus on the here and now and not heaven, Habak writes. Leaving aside attorney fees, Micron's revenue fell 4.5 percent to $2.3 billion in the first half. So many books I've read by Francis Chan have challenged me and God has used these books to expose me, he said. I'm so grateful, Taylor said. The book goes deep into what the Christian faith really is, humility, serving, and has a final chapter on parenting. I think it's wonderful and I hope everyone has read it.

Unbalanced

So if marriage is such a bad idea, should we all get divorced? Yes, Chan did not actually say that marriage is a bad idea, but he puts so much emphasis on not placing too much importance on marriage that it made me feel like he thinks I should never have gotten married at all. He suggests that all his readers are idolizing their marriages and they need to repent and start ignoring their husbandwife so that they can focus more on God. However, it is also possible to spend less effort on marriage than one should, and that is a possibility that Chan did not admit to in this book.
