Book Overview

When your nemesis also happens to be your fianc , happily ever after becomes a lot more complicated in this wickedly funny, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy debut.

Naomi Westfield has the perfect fianc Nicholas Rose holds doors open for her, remembers her restaurant orders, and comes from the kind of upstanding society family any bride would love to be a part of. They never fight. They're preparing for their lavish wedding that's three months away. And she is miserably and utterly sick of him.

Naomi wants out, but there's a catch: whoever ends the engagement will have to foot the nonrefundable wedding bill. When Naomi discovers that Nicholas, too, has been feigning contentment, the two of them go head-to-head in a battle of pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.

But with the countdown looming to the wedding that may or may not come to pass, Naomi finds her resolve slipping. Because now that they have nothing to lose, they're finally being themselves--and having fun with the last person they expect: each other.

   such a fun romcom!
this book was so much fun to read! the characters started off unlikeable (by design) and by the end, I was fully in love with both of them!

   This should be a movie!
It had me reading during dinner, and I was laughing water out of my nose while doing so. It's light-hearted, so comical, and full of love, Streisand said. There is just too much love. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

Author is talented but this book was largely boring.
Second, I'm going to try another book by this author because I really enjoyed her writing and pov style of writing. I've got some issues with this book, Raymond said. It turned out that I accidentally purchased it and before I went to cancel the order I thought I would give it a try. The other half is played by a young woman who is emotionally stunted in a serious way. She was a total annoyance to most of the book's readers. While I don't expect graphic sex every other page like some romance authors seem to think, the chemistry was not frequent enough in this story. However, the overall storyline was largely frustrating and depressing - ridiculous mother-in-law, unaccomplished 28 yo woman, dead end town, etc. I had a difficult time relating to this story, Mr. Rule told the judge.

   Favorite RomCom Ever
I enjoy the writing style and the entire arch of the book. The main character has an imagination that I can only dream of and the journey of the characters is so inspiring and makes you want that Real Love, Beckham said.

   Unrealistic and monotonous bickering
This is the most unrealistic and monotonous display of a couple who fight, disrespect and antagonize each other, he said. Turner said he wanted to thank God that the Beatles were still alive. If you are sensitive to the f word and "god" you will be grated to the point of burning the paperback or deleting the kindle edition. After I finish writing this review, I will be doing some research. This couple will never make it through a book. Yes, I will! It's just that time of year again. Yes, I did finish every last word of this book.

Don't know how it can have so many stars
The main character was immature, and the skits were all over the place. I didn't like her at all, Taylor said. I thought it would be a fun read where I laughed out loud but to my disappointment I started skimming pages and couldn't even finish it. It had potential, but I just couldn't stomach reading more with the main character.

   I can’t believe I paid 12 bucks for this
After reading the sample I thought it would be interesting but I really debated whether to pay such high prices for this book. Only one other book I paid that much for was The Hating Game, and I loved it so much that I thought maybe it would be okay. I was wrong. Like other reviewers, at first you empathize with the main character but end up hating her later and the story would have benefited from a dual POV. The story just flatlined after a few chapters and I saw the end coming 50 miles away, Morgenthau said. I'm not sure what others thought of it, but I truly hoped I'd seen that because at least I'd get a good laugh out of it. I kept forcing myself to read it, but I gave up at 85%, I have better things to do. Just a bit of advice to the author, you may want to reconsider your price. I've read thousands of books that were half as much or less than yours or less but it's not even in the same state. It's just that we're not going to keep it real.

   Funny
This was so funny to me, said Kristen. It was sweet, Tunick said. I've loved watching them choose each other, and keep choosing each other, he said. This book was a perfect companion for those times.

   I Loved Everything About This
It was a blast, I laughed out loud many times and just kept turning on movies for my kids so I could finish it. Loved this book, and have been through exactly what happens next. A must read.
