A RESE'S BOK CLUB WINTER YA PICK

A new love, a secret sister, and a summer she'll never forget.

From the beloved author of Tweet Cute comes Emma Lord's You Have a Match, a hilarious and heartfelt novel of romance, sisterhood, and friendship.

When Abby signs up for a DNA service, it's mainly to give her friend and secret love interest, Leo, a nudge. After all, she knows who she is already: Avid photographer. Injury-prone tree climber. Best friend to Leo and Connie.although ever since the B.E.I. (Big Embarrassing Incident) with Leo, things have been awkward on that front.

But she didn't know she's a younger sister.

When the DNA service reveals Abby has a secret sister, shimmery-haired Instagram star Savannah Tully, it's hard to believe they're from the same planet, never mind the same parents -- especially considering Savannah, queen of green smoothies, is only a year and a half older than Abby herself.

The logical course of action? Meet up at summer camp (obviously) and figure out why Abby's parents gave Savvy up for adoption. But there are complications: Savvy is a rigid rule-follower and total narc. Leo is the camp's co-chef, putting Abby's growing feelings for him on Read More chevron_right

   Heartwarming
4.5 stars This book had such a warm feeling like it kept me great while reading it. Abby takes a DNA test for a school project and finds out that she has an exact match sister, Savannah, who lives close by. They formulated a plan to go to summer camp together to get to know each other and figure out what happened and why Savvy was adopted. Love a good summer camp setting, the friendships and relationships made there were deep and wholesome, and there was just enough, but not too much or unrealistic drama. The friendship of Abby and Leo was so sweet and meaningful. And it was all wrapped up really nicely.

   Super good book
This book is super good and I would recommend it to teenagers and young adults, but not so much older adults because it can be a little childish at times, but its totally worth reading.

   Perfect second book
Lord has been fully cemented for me as a one-click author. I adored this book, her voice, the characters and the blood versus the Gravity Found Family theme. The best isn 't quite brilliant and worth reading more than once.

   Didn’t do it for me
I don 't want to leave too harsh of a review because I think that this book would be great for the right person, but in my own opinion, I felt like the language was a little too juvenile for what I was looking for personally. In terms of the YA genre, I felt like it really swayed young.

   secrets and lies
When Leo signs for a DNA service, it is mainly to give her friend and secret love interest, Abby, a nub. Finally, she knows who she is already an Avid photographer. Tree climber prone to injury. Leo and Connie are best friends, although they have been in the B.E.I. since then. On this front, things have been awkward with Leo. The DNA shows she has a secret sister, one she never knew and that is when things got weird. Abby did not confide or ask about her parents in her parents. Instead, she took it upon herself to meet with Savannah Tully secretly. A glamorous-haired Instagram star. They end up meeting at the summer camp. I had a hard time, thinking that a teenager would not ask their parents what the hell is. Why don 't you tell me? Then meet with the sister, no matter what the parents said. I don 't like lies or secrets, so I confront myself always and no matter what, even as a teenager.

   Summer Camp Sisters
Martin's Press is looking for an advanced copy of Emma Lord's You Have a Match by Emma Lord. You Have A Match is a cute YA novel about family, friendships, and growing up. Abby does an online DNA test when her friendcrush Leo, who was adopted, wants to find out more about his background. While Connie wants to out her other friend Abby, she finds out that she has a sister. After her sister reaches out to her, she finds out she is a bit of an Instagram star and convinces Abby to spend the summer with her at a summer camp. Lots of mayhem, finding out that Leo knows her sister from camp and trying to figure out their parent's past. This had a little bit of a parent trac-esque with the summer camp storyline.

   Great Read
This book was really good but the printing was not great. I picked this book because it was Reese's winter book and did not disappoint. I would recommend this to anyone. It is an easy read, filled with laughter and endless entertainment.

   Love the Pacific Northwest
Abigail is 16 years old, has two best friends, Connie and Leo, and lives in Seattle with her over-worked parents and her three Twerp brothers. After taking a DNA test for the school, Abby receives a weird message and lots of questions make Abby decide to find answers. But first she must lie to her parents and then hack into her emails and skip the summer school so that she can go to the summer camp and know her “new ” sister Trouble awaits for Abby by saying a bad word out loud and climbing the wishing tree at camp. And to make things more complicated, her best friend Leo, who has been a crush for a year, is also there! Can Abby and Savvy find past issues of their own to find answers? I had trouble settling into the story but once I hit 40%, I couldn t get the book down! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ebook arc in exchange for an honest review.
