Increases the probability of success in Statistics
Derived From Web , May 21, 2022
I use it to help students I tutor in statistics. The theory is accurate and the examples aren 't just humorous, but help to illustrate the concept. Don 't throw away your textbook, but this book treats the themes from a different point of view and can well make a significant difference in really understanding statistics.

Great content in a fun format
Derived From Web , May 21, 2022
I am a mathematics graduate who had not taken statistics for about 20 years. This book covered the material in a fast, fun format. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to cover non-formal statistics in a introductory way.

Better than my college textbooks.
Derived From Web , Sep 1, 2020
Ok, better than my college textbooks isn 't that difficult. But it is important to know. I used this book in school and use it constantly at work. If you are confused by statistics or even if you are not. And explains it more clearly. Given the low price and incredibly useful content, I think this is a must for just about everyone. If you ever go to the casino, buy a lottery ticket or do something else with an element of risk, this is a worthwhile read. Oh, and if you are going to take a statistics class, reading this book *before* the first class is highly recommended.

Well distributed humor, Sherlock
Derived From Web , Feb 16, 2019
Hypothesis : There is a chance that this is the first statistics book that you read from cover-to-cover. How do you know? Good distribution of humor looks good. Indy means humor is well distributed throughout this book. Though highly biased towards bad jokes, you may find some ludish stuff. The authentication interval for good jokes '' depends on eruditionality, Sherlock. As well, we can use paired comparisons '' between this book and other textbooks. But I write it as an exercise for the reader who dared to read other statistics books. One thing is certain, Larry has gotten better over time. This book was published in 1993 and a few weeks ago I read his book on Calculus, which was published in 2011. Lastly, he has evolved as a cartoonist and teacher exponentially.

My go to probability & statistics refresher
Derived From Web , Jan 15, 2019
This book has been my go-to-refresher on probability and statistics for many years now, whenever I need to remember something. It is a very simple and fun introduction to many concepts that are important in our every day lives. It gets quite statistical in depth, however, into basic concepts. The reason I gave him 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are places where even the cartoons jump a little too fast for my speed and I need to refer to other resources to fully understand the concept. But I have yet to find a simpler, more accessible statistics book.
