Book Overview

Start counting your votes . . . and your friends.
When Brianna Justice's hero, the famous celebrity chef Miss Delicious, speaks at her school and traces her own success back to being president of her fifth grade class, Brianna determines she must do the same. She just knows that becoming president of her class is the first step toward her own cupcake-baking empire

But when new student Jasmine Moon announces she is also running for president, Brianna learns that she may have more competition than she expected. Will Brianna be able to stick to her plan of working with her friends to win the election fairly? Or will she jump at the opportunity to steal votes from Jasmine by revealing an embarrassing secret?

This hilarious, heartfelt novel will appeal to any reader with big dreams, and the determination to achieve them.

   My class book club
It was a no brainer, said Meagan, who attends school with two of her friends. We wanted to experience her fifth grade year to see if we could have a race for president of the whole fifth grade but alas we can't because Student Council already has president of the whole elementary and that person has to be in fifth grade. Since we couldn't have a race I cheered on Brianna through the pain, Mr. Rule told the judge. And as long as she competed she never gave up on winning against Jasmine moon and she always had the courage to do what others wouldn't. I love this book so much, and I'm not even a fiction writer. I have a lot of admiration for the author of this book, who I know is one smart woman. In fact, I would have loved to meet her face to face, because she is the most inspiring author I have ever liked. The fifth nominee for fiction is James Frey, for "The Lord's Prayer." Another great rock 'n roll band, The Ramones, came to mind.

Great book for a 4th or 5th grade reader!
My daughter absolutely loves the book. She attends school in the fourth grade. She likes to read it before she goes to bed. It's great to have a book like this for my daughter.

Read the other 2 star reviews
This book is kid-friendly, too. Only a few books about black girls and women have received high ratings. Yes, it's inclusive, but honestly the author should be ashamed of how she uses name calling in this book. The show's creators and cast are not considered to be "nice people." Other options are Ford Shelby Cobra V6 Touring Series, Chevrolet H3 Series and Jada Jones Series.

Kind of a bad example for kids
I just finished reading this book with my 9-year-old daughter. The writer frequently makes fun of other kids in the book, calling them unkind nicknames repeatedly, making fun of kids who act a bit different and frequently referring to physical features in derogatory ways. She also creates a lot of drama and poor decision making for the characters, making their lives difficult.

   Very intrigued
In the interest of full disclosure, my daughter is in the fourth grade and is researching various genre of books. Such a great introduction to the world of fantasy, and I am so excited to see that she is truly captivated by these books.

I have a 5th grader who started this book and I am both excited about it. A lotta work to do, but I'm excited to start the next book. I highly recommend this book and the author.

   A masterpiece
Master piece. This book is so good, I absolutely loved it and will be recommending it to everyone I know. It kept my attention, he said. If the second series of President of the Whole 6th Grade is anything like this one, I know I will be pleased. This is very much appreciated, Mr. Caramore said.
